We are looking to recruit a home-based Regional Surveyor to cover Sheffield, Wakefield, Lincoln and Doncaster. If you are fully qualified (MRICS / FRICS / Assoc RICS) with post-qualification experience and wish to join our growing national team, this may be the opportunity for you.
This unique position requires the successful candidate to take responsibility for the region by providing specialist property advice to the Group that includes mortgage valuations and security assessments of residential investment properties in support of the Group's buy-to-let business and other functions. The successful candidate will ideally be based in or around Sheffield. Postcodes are as follows: S, DN, LN, HD, WF and DE4, 5, 45, 55, 56 and 75.
Purpose of the roleCarry-out valuations in accordance with company lending criteria, RICS Red Book and Paragon's guidance.
Duties and responsibilities- Manage region including valuation flow and panel input.
- Provide high quality professional advice recognising that the Regional Surveyor is the face of the Group.
- Comply with RICS regulations and all other requirements.
- Keep up to date with local markets and technical developments affecting the role including Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO's).
- Complete validations of panel surveyor valuation reports in respect of the region and maintain/develop panel surveyor relationships.
- Where required, help to manage Receiver of Rent, Repossession and Power of Sale cases to include valuation, condition and Health & Safety reporting including working with agents as necessary.
- Provide Market Reports and such information that is requested to allow Group Strategy to be determined.
- Undertake specific tasks that support other Group business lines including Development Finance and Due Diligence exercises.
- Attend Head Office when requested to perform the Duty Surveyor role or for other purposes to include Regional Surveyor meetings and projects.
Qualifications and experience: Professional competence/qualification including MRICS / FRICS and Valuer Registration scheme. Up to date CPD. Clean current driving licence.
