Cambridge United Academy is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Casual Goalkeeper Coach to join our coaching team, working primarily with goalkeepers aged U8 to U12. This is an exciting opportunity for a developing coach to gain hands-on experience in a professional academy environment, with the potential to gain further experience coaching within the Youth Development Phase (YDP) and Professional Development Phase (PDP). The role offers access to ongoing CPD, including mentorship from the Head of Academy Goalkeeping and First Team Goalkeeper Coach, providing a clear pathway for personal and professional growth.
Key Job Outcomes
- Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate goalkeeper coaching sessions for U8–U12 goalkeepers in line with the club's coaching philosophy.
- Provide detailed feedback to players and contribute to the goalkeeper-specific ILPs (Individual Learning Plans).
- Attend and support match-days for foundation phase age groups as required.
- Work collaboratively with phase leads and outfield coaches to support holistic player development.
- Maintain up-to-date player records and contribute to the ongoing talent ID and development process.
- Engage in regular CPD sessions, including opportunities to observe and assist in YDP, PDP, and First Team sessions.
