We are currently looking for temporary cover for the canteen at one of our schools in Aylesbury. If you are an experienced Kitchen Porter, General Assistant, Catering Assistant, Kitchen Steward, Food Service Assistant, Plate Waiter or Cook looking to work part time, this role might be for you.
Role: General Assistant
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-14:30
Pay: £12.00 to £12.50 per hour + holiday pay, paid weekly
Required:
- Applicants MUST have enhanced DBS clearance and evidence of this DBS certificate
- Successful candidate MUST have prior F&B experience, preferably as a Catering Assistant, Food Service Assistant or General Assistant in a school environment
- Drivers with access to a reliable vehicle would be ideal given the location
- Kitchen experience is mandatory
- Use of tills ideal but not mandatory
- Food Hygiene / Food Safety certification, preferably L2 or higher
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Be reliable, trustworthy, punctual and a team player
Job Duties:
- Support Chef with basic food prep
- Boxing up and labelling sandwiches, pasta boxes and salad boxes
- Emptying bins
- Pot wash
- Serving customers
- General cleaning duties such as sweeping or mopping
