Having celebrated our 50-year anniversary in 2015, we have 27 sites throughout the UK and Ireland and are continuing to grow. We are now looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative/Driver to join our busy, dedicated branch in Manchester.

Having a good standard of education including maths and English, and ideally proven experience of working within a similar environment, you will have a professional approach with the ability to confidently work both well in a team and using your own initiative.
The main duties of the role include:
- Handling fragile packages and parcels with care and adhering to manual handling regulations – some heavy lifting e.g., of gas cylinders is a requirement of the role.
- Communicating with customers by phone to update them of time of deliveries if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival.
- Taking delivery of goods for unloading, sorting, stacking and storage process/pick order requests for all stock items for a customer collection and/or delivery from the warehouse.
- Accurately picking orders by processing requests in a timely and orderly manner.
- Checking and packing orders for both internal and external customers.
- Adhering to all health and safety requirements including always wearing appropriate PPE (PPE is provided), complying with all standards in place.
- Undertaking all relevant training for the role.
- Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and tidy to always ensure a safe working environment.
- Assisting in other warehouse functions and processes where required, including undertaking driver duties if required, so a full UK driving licence is required.
- Complying with health and safety requirements, ensuring your vehicle is loaded safely, is roadworthy before every journey, through daily vehicle checks, reporting all vehicle defects to the Line Manager as appropriate for your branch.
- Driving safely and following all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Keeping accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation and ensure all documentation is submitted to management on time.
