We are looking for general volunteers to help out at the HOPE Project Office based in Stevenston to:

  • Assist at various Activities and Events within the centre
  • Assist with Activities, Health and Fitness Classes and Interest Classes
  • Help older people who have mobility issues to attend social outings

If you like working alongside older individuals and would enjoy supporting them to attend various Events or Classes, then this is the right opportunity for you.

Experience required

Looking for people who have an interest in working alongside older individuals and would like to support them to take part in activities within their local area.

Opportunity takes place at the HOPE Project Office in Stevenson, North Ayrshire. This is situated on a main bus route.

Travel expenses

Expenses will be paid on request—proof of bus/train tickets is required. Mileage will be paid for all travel connected with the project (training and volunteer work).

Support

The induction session will be followed by training sessions, a disclosure check, and ongoing support sessions thereafter.

An induction session will be provided to volunteers.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Volunteers aged 18-25 taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
