Our client works with a wide range of customers across the UK, supplying artists, photographers, and businesses with photographic, printing and picture framing services. Due to their continued success, they now have a position for a Production Operative to work in their busy workshop. This position would suit an enthusiastic and hard-working individual, with an ability to work quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining high-quality standards.
What we need from you as a Production Operative:
- Similar industry experience preferred but not essential; full training provided
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organised and able to work on your own initiative
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to work quickly and under pressure
- Good problem solving with ability to find efficiency improvements
- Excellent time keeping skills – punctual
- Driving licence would be a bonus, but not essential
What the role involves:
- You will be preparing orders for dispatch / collection, as well as some customer facing tasks.
- Duties include:
- Producing picture frames, making notice boards
- Stretching canvas
- Preparing print orders
- Answering the phone/speaking to customers in the shop
- Taking customer orders
- Organising the workshop including inbound deliveries
Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per year, depending on your level of experience.
Hours: 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday and an average of two Saturdays per month (12-3pm).
