Position Overview

Job Title: Development Lead (Capital Markets)

Location: London

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

In the Capital Markets: DCM technology team, you will contribute to the buildout of a lean agile pod facing off directly to the business. The business regularly issues over €1 trillion for clients, enabling global economies to function.

We are looking for an Engineer to join the London engineering team to help design and build solutions for our platforms. You will be familiar with agile practices and have experience using those practices to deliver software projects using an incremental and evolutionary approach.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • A commitment to quality, applying practices such as test-driven development
  • Pragmatic mindset driving quicker time to market and early user feedback
  • Applying clean code principles to enable sustainable production solutions
  • Performing code review, pairing sessions, and sharing knowledge
  • Supporting the existing collaborative and trusting environment

Your Skills And Experience

  • Server-side JVM components with broad experience of Java. Functional programming is a nice-to-have.
  • Application of agile principles; test-driven development, pair/mob programming, iterative development
  • Continuous delivery of working software
  • Growing mindset and team leadership skills
