Warehouse, Trade Counter and Logistics – Hitchin Head Office
£23,200 - £26,000 Depending on experience
Interaction Recruitment are looking for someone to join a fast-growing business to help cover the warehouse, trade counter and support our team of drivers.
Who are we?
We are an ISO 9001, 14001 and FORS accredited supplier to industry and have been supporting the industry since 1985. We supply over ten thousand customers across the UK and on a worldwide scale. We have three vans delivering products from our Head Office in Hitchin. One of the UK’s largest stockists of welding products, abrasives, power tools and PPE.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Route planning for multidrop runs in a 50 mile radius of the branch with the use of Maxoptra.
- Helping to supervise and oversee daily operations of deliveries.
- Serving customers face-to-face at the trade counter.
- Picking orders for delivery.
- Dispatching goods via our courier service.
- Liaising with the internal and external sales team to help meet customer deadlines.
- Supplying BUSE industrial gases at the counter to trade accounts.
- Working to maximise space in the warehouses.
- Checking in goods from suppliers and off hired equipment.
- Occasional emergency driver cover.
Job Requirements:
- A real can-do attitude and a flexible team player.
- Excellent people skills and a motivated, proactive approach when dealing with customers.
- High level of drive to set the highest possible customer service levels.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- To be able to work using own initiative and be self-motivated.
- Valid UK Driving license.
- Basic computer skills.
- An interest in welding and engineering would be an advantage.

- 23 days paid holiday per annum (full time employees) plus Bank Holidays.
- 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
