An award-winning UK law firm is seeking a strategic, driven Head of Corporate Law to lead its Corporate Department. This pivotal role is suited for an experienced solicitor passionate about high-calibre legal work and team leadership. You will join the firm's senior leadership team, shaping business growth and mentoring a high-performing legal team.
You will receive a salary in the range of £50,000 - £100,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of corporate solicitors and paralegals
- Oversee complex casework, ensuring legal excellence and compliance
- Manage a portfolio of high-value corporate clients, advising on M&A, restructures, JVs, shareholder agreements, and contracts
- Serve as principal advisor on high-risk and strategic matters
- Contribute to growth strategy and expand corporate legal services
- Ensure compliance with SRA regulations and policies
- Drive business development with the Commercial Director
- Represent the firm at events and develop client networks
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a valid practising certificate
- Extensive PQE in corporate law with leadership experience
- Deep understanding of corporate law including M&A, governance, and contracts
- Strong communication and negotiation skills at board/shareholder level
- Success in business development and strategic planning
- Leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent organization and time management
- Proficiency in legal practice management systems and Microsoft Office
