We are seeking a Compute Reliability Lead to join our Compute team at Wise. The Compute team is pivotal in delivering a foundational platform that allows engineers to seamlessly run and scale workloads in a secure, reliable, and cost-effective container runtime environment.
As a Compute Reliability Lead, you will focus on maintaining system reliability, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting our customers' technical needs. You will play a crucial role in keeping our systems operational, developing operational tooling, and enhancing system visibility.

You will focus on maintaining and improving the compute infrastructure, enhancing observability, and optimizing operational processes to support Wiseβs mission.
What Will You Be Working On?
- Ensure System Reliability β Maintain and update systems to ensure continuous operation and meet business expectations.
- Develop Operational Tooling β Create tools that enable the team to manage clusters at scale and meet business needs efficiently.
- Support Customers β Assist customers with Kubernetes-related issues, provide expert guidance, and enhance documentation for self-service capabilities.
- Enhance System Visibility β Monitor systems to ensure they function as expected, improve dashboards, and provide interfaces for customer technical needs.
- Ensure Compliance β Align operations with legal and regulatory requirements, managing infrastructure governance to support sustainable growth.
- Facilitate Adoption β Unlock supported compute capabilities within our cloud infrastructure, such as deploying new clusters for internal teams.

- Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
