Team Operative – Pipe Team

Rochford, Essex (on site with occasional travel)

Permanent, Full time (47.5 hours)

£11.50 – £17 depending on experience + competitive overtime pay

Our client is a drainage services company offering a wide range of services including drain repairs and maintenance, civil engineering, and trenchless solutions.

Role Overview

If you\’ve got experience in Steam Curing, Hot Curing, or Pipe Welding, this role could be a great fit for you! HGV Class 1 is desirable.

This position involves heavy lifting, physical work, confined spaces, and exposure to extreme weather. Responsibilities include routine vehicle inspections, organized time sheets and reports, toolbox talks, stand downs, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Work in drainage, utilities, water treatment, or construction industries.
• Experience with pipe installation, steam curing, hot curing, pipe welding, patch installation, and resin curing is advantageous.
• Maintain a safety-first approach, especially during vehicle checks, machinery operation, and handling resins and curing systems.
• Complete paperwork such as timesheets and logs.
• Occasional overnight stays and travel across the UK.
• Flexibility to work weekends or night shifts as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• CSCS registration
• City and Guilds – Confined Spaces
• EUSR SHEA (water – multi-utility)
• NRSWA certification
• Valid UK driving license (clean)
