A fantastic opportunity for a Junior Buy to join our clients Procurement team to work with suppliers, internal customers and supporting the team with projects and daily activities for a FMCG business based in Kent. Responsibilities Assist in maintaining and managing trackers to generate accurate KPIs for the Procurement team. Collaborate with cross functional teams to work on contracts and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers. Represent the procurement department in project meetings, providing updates on price, lead time, and associated costs for launches. Support and manage the commercial relationship with external suppliers to meet customer needs while maintaining effective business relationships. Participate in supplier performance management and reviews. Assist with annual budget cost setting. Schedule supplier performance reviews and set meeting agendas. Identify and communicate potential risks to deliveries, assisting in resolution efforts. Utilize appropriate procurement methodologies to meet business requirements and procurement objectives. The ideal candidate will have the following Academic background or relevant procurement experience. Understanding of end-to-end supply chain and supplier relationship management (SRM) processes. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experienced with SAP or similar ERP systems. Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Great attention to detail. Knowledge of procurement techniques and their application in projects. This is a great opportunity for a Supply Chain professional to move into a Buying function. You’ll be joining a collaborative, fun and supportive team who are focused on your development.
