Live In Nanny / Housekeeper Job - Southport, Merseyside - self-contained annex accommodation - full-time - £40,000 GPA

Our client is looking for an experienced Nanny / Housekeeper to join them to look after a busy family home. They are a warm, energetic family who are seeking a highly experienced candidate to join them on a long-term basis. This role combines sole-charge childcare responsibilities and comprehensive housekeeping duties, requiring a candidate who is organised, proactive, energetic, and capable of fully managing a busy household.

The family have two children aged 1 and 3 years and they already employ a Nanny who will work for them 3 days per week so you will only be required to cover childcare duties when the Nanny is not working, allowing you to focus on the more detailed housekeeping on these days of the week. The family have a small dog so you need to be comfortable around pets.

Duties will include:

  • Full-time sole and shared charge of two young children 2/3 days per week
  • Planning and facilitating daily educational and stimulating activities including crafts, baking, outdoor play, messy play and developmental games
  • Organise and supervise playdates, nursery drop-off / pick-up and attending local groups / classes / events
  • Preparation of nutritious meals, snacks and meal planning for the children
  • Housekeeping looking after a spacious 3/4 bed home - keeping it clean and well organised
  • Laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, bed changing, tidying play areas and general deep cleaning
  • Weekly ordering of groceries and household essentials
  • Keeping all clothing, linens and household items clean, organised and readily available
  • Cooking nutritious family evening meals several times per week
  • Managing household maintenance, liaising with contractors and ensuring the smooth running of the home at all times
  • The Housekeeper / Nanny will also be required to travel with the family domestically and internationally 3/4 times per year.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, excellent references, Enhanced DBS check and a confident driver (essential) with a clean driving licence.

Accommodation is a private self-contained annex within the family home - private bedroom, ensuite bathroom, TV, kitchenette area with separate access. All bills paid by the employer.

Hours - Daily hours are 7.30am to 7.30pm with a break in the day. 5 days per week for three weeks each month, 6 days per week for one week each month. Days off and working schedule clearly provided a month in advance - at least 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays per month required to be worked. Driver essential - car provided for work purposes.

Salary - £40,000 GPA
