This role involves leading the development of new indexes that serve as benchmarks for financial products such as Exchange Traded Products (ETPs). The key responsibilities include managing client engagement throughout the product development cycle, overseeing the development and backtesting of index models, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful index launches. The candidate will also identify and pitch internally developed index ideas to clients, based on their product portfolios and market strategies. What You Will Do: Lead the development of indexes for benchmarking and replication via investment vehicles such as ETPs and structured products. Manage client engagement throughout the product development lifecycle, including creating backtests and analysis, and coordinating with internal teams for index launches. Identify clients for pitching internally developed index ideas based on market needs and product fit. Create client-facing materials to promote new products. Gather and evaluate customer requests from the sales team to identify inbound product opportunities. Other responsibilities: Assist research teams in creating content to support marketing and educational efforts for new indexes and related investment vehicles. What We Expect: Experience in developing indexes and/or rules-based investment products like UCITS and ETCs. Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail. Technical proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and Databricks. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau to support product pitches. Experience with ESG indexes and rules-based investment products is a plus.
