As the Head of Compliance for the UK, you will oversee the compliance function in the UK, coordinating all Compliance activities for the DLL group entities in the UK. This includes specific Compliance themes: Financial Crime Compliance, Ethics and Privacy. Based on compliance risk assessments across the UK, you will allocate compliance resources in liaison with the UK & Ireland manager. This position reports directly to the UK & Ireland manager and functionally to the Head of Compliance Europe. In this position, you also fulfil the role of Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the UK and therefore have direct access/an escalation line to the Group Head of Financial Crime Compliance.
Through close collaboration with the management team, you will establish and maintain a unified compliance risk management culture and establish a common understanding of all compliance topics and standards in the UK. You will drive consistent compliance adherence in the UK and will be in close contact and able to share best practices and learnings with a network of Compliance Officers in Europe to contribute to the compliance maturity and growth in the region.

Day to day:
- Integrate all compliance risk management processes into a coherent, consistent and reliable compliance risk management framework.
- Initiate and manage local compliance projects to ensure proper implementation of country compliance policies and procedures in accordance with global policies and standards.
- Monitor implementation of the Global Compliance Annual Plan, Local Compliance Annual Plan and all other compliance activities in the UK.
- Manage regulatory & all other compliance incidents including breaches of compliance policies and escalate such incidents where appropriate.
- Support and guide the business on financial economic crime risks.
- Oversee and encourage communication with local regulators to both seek output and build a strong and transparent relationship.
- Communicate decisions issued by the Global Compliance MT (GCMT) regarding all material compliance issues to country management and your team and execute any resulting directives.
- Define and manage the key performance indicators and targets as set in conjunction with the annual plan in line with budget and strategic objectives.
- Provide coaching and feedback to the Compliance team members to support their development.
- Fulfil the second line review with respect to privacy assessments, incidents and related matters.
- In collaboration with local HR and the Global Speak Up Committee, be involved in speak up investigations and drive ethical behaviour and adherence to the Code of Conduct.
- Hold the positions of SMF16 and SMF17.

8 years + experience in providing compliance, risk, legal or similar services in a bank or other financial services institution.
Good understanding of the Financial Services Regulatory environment in Europe and particularly in the UK and an ability to understand legislation quickly.
Strong experience in an international setting and strong business background.
Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak with and influence senior management.
Effectively multi-task and manage various projects with competing deadlines.
Demonstrated success in achieving excellent results in a complex, international, matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders.
Firm, independent and enthusiastic team player who can discuss compliance dilemmas with management in a constructive way.
Excellent command of English.
