The Associate Project Support Officer (PSO) apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to start your career in project support while earning a Level 4 qualification. You will work alongside experienced project and PMO professionals, supporting the planning, governance, and delivery of projects across our operations portfolio. Through on-the-job experience and structured learning, you will develop key skills in communication, data handling, organization, and stakeholder engagement. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, curious, proactive, and passionate about making a difference in healthcare and social care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with managing the PMO mailbox, logging and prioritizing requests.
- Help coordinate responses to information requests from sales or internal stakeholders.
- Support project planning by preparing and maintaining documentation.
- Contribute to scheduling and tracking resources for projects.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, and risks, ensuring information is current.
- Assist in preparing status reports and dashboards using standard templates.
- Learn to use internal systems such as PSA tools for timesheets, resourcing, and financial tracking.
- Participate in project review and closure processes, gathering lessons learned.
- Attend meetings to take minutes and follow up on actions.
- Promote the use of best-practice project governance frameworks.
The post holder will actively champion best-practice governance processes to ensure project success.
