The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 Β£ per year.

Candidates will also need to have excellent communication, planning, and interpersonal skills, as the role involves working with different disciplines and requires an organised and systematic approach to tasks. St Paul's Eye Unit

The role will involve all aspects of administration work within the unit, including:

  • Call centre and reception work
  • Registering of referrals
  • Booking appointments
  • Preparation of relevant paperwork
  • Extracting and preparing case sheets from the filing system for allocated clinics, cancellations, research, and audit purposes
  • Receiving and booking in patients on arrival in Out-patients/Primary care
  • Liaising with medical staff regarding overbooked clinics
  • Dealing with telephone and postal enquiries
  • Ensuring clinic booking summaries and clinic proformas are completed timely and accurately
  • Opening, sorting, and re-directing mail
  • Entering referral letters onto the Hospital Information Support System and booking new appointments as required
  • Making up and filing new case notes
  • Cancelling and re-booking clinic appointments according to given instructions
  • Liaising with Clerical Team Co-ordinator regarding missing case notes
  • Maintaining and enhancing an efficient and helpful attitude whilst undertaking the above duties
  • Ensuring all Out-patient discharges are recorded timely and accurately
  • Ensuring that attendances, DNA’s, and discharges are recorded accurately and timely
  • Dealing with DNA follow-up appointments
  • Covering/rotation for other Clerical Officers as required
  • Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the grade as delegated by the Clerical & Administration Manager/Clerical Supervisor
