We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable individuals to join our team as Domiciliary Care Workers who are able to drive. As a domiciliary care worker, you will be responsible for providing personalised care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. This role requires a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and a full UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
- Administer medication as per the care plan and ensure safe handling and storage.
- Support clients with meal preparation, eating, and drinking in accordance with dietary needs.
- Carry out light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping for the client.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring they feel valued and respected.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, reporting any changes in the client's condition to senior staff.
- Drive between clients' homes as required, ensuring punctuality and a safe driving record.
- Promote and uphold the rights and dignity of clients at all times, maintaining their privacy and confidentiality.
A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle. Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar role is preferred, but not essential. A caring, empathetic, and patient nature with a genuine desire to help others. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow care plans and adhere to health and safety guidelines. An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.
