Location: Margate / Deal, Kent

Hours: Part time/ Full time / Ad-hoc

Shift hours: 0800-2100; 1300-2100; 1300-1700; 1300-2100; 1700-2300 – seven days a week

Rates: £25.00 per hour Day Rate, £30.00 Saturday, £35.00 Sunday

Job description:

Athona’s Nursing division is currently recruiting for Community agency nurses, with an opportunity based in Margate, Deal, and surrounding areas. This is community-based shift work for an NHS Trust. You will need to be a car driver and have access.

  • Wound care
  • Catheter care
  • Palliative care
  • Holistic assessment
  • Medication administration
  • Insulin administration/management
  • Advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Experience in acute and ED departments
  • Liaise with GP to initiate antibiotic treatment
  • IV skills with administration and cannulation
  • Knowledgeable with ECG, bladder scans/I-stat machine, and the CRP machine phlebotomy
  • Car driver – the team responds to each patient referral within 2 hours
  • Able to use RIO
