You will join an existing and growing test practice of a global IT Consultancy, delivering digital transformation to the UK government. As a Senior Test Specialist, working alongside a team of dedicated professionals, you will be driven to find better, faster, more effective ways of testing and adding value to the projects you are working on. You will lead by example and work to develop your team and emerging talent to strengthen the Test Practice and build our reputation as a center of excellence. This is an environment where you will have the chance to grow and build upon your existing knowledge and abilities.
Your experience:
- Understanding the Software Development and Testing Lifecycles
- Understanding of and experience with multiple delivery methodologies such as Agile, V-Model & Waterfall
- Experience testing both Infrastructure and Applications
- Experience identifying test data and creating test cases based on clearly defined requirements, including creating test cases for manual and automated testing in areas of technical testing specialization
- Experience executing test cases and recording results according to established test plans, including technical testing areas
- Experience defect logging, investigation, and support
- Experience collecting test-related metrics
- Organizing test materials, environments, tools, and resources, coordinating testing delivery, and reporting progress, risks, and incidents
- Creating high-quality test plan documents for small to medium projects or specific work segments that address requirements and mitigate risks
- Being accountable for the test team deliverables within small projects, adhering to schedules
- Understanding project testing requirements and defining testing scope with stakeholders
- Experience writing test scripts, test reports, defect management, and reporting
- Experience using SOAP UI, XML, Jenkins, JIRA
