Amore Group are looking for Support Workers to join our new Supported Accommodation Home in Liverpool. Meet the person you will be supporting:

Who am I? I could be between 16 - 18 years old and of any gender.

What challenges do I have? I could have a range of adverse childhood experiences which I would want you to understand, not judge. My behaviour is often as a result of my lived experiences and you need to be robust enough to understand that this is not personal. Your time is the most important thing you can give me.

Where do I live, and how do I get around? Our home is based in Liverpool. It is a solo placement in either a 2 or 3 bed home and will have 24/7 support. Our Support Workers specialise in one home to gain a good understanding of the young people, to be able to best meet their needs. The homes are furnished to a very high standard and well maintained.

The team:

What are my team trained on? All staff have mandatory training covering: Safeguarding, H&S, First Aid, Lone Working, Professional Boundaries, Fire Warden, Challenging Behaviour and ACEs.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Have a working knowledge and experience of supporting young people in a residential setting.
  • Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Have the ability to listen effectively to both the person they are supporting and their colleagues.
  • Can be calm under pressure when dealing with challenging behaviours.
  • Can be consistent with routines and boundaries.
  • Are committed to equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practice.

As a company we are unable to offer sponsorship for overseas candidates. Applicants must have proof of right to work in the UK. It is a requirement to provide an overseas police check dated within the last 3 months of being in the UK; if you have been outside of the UK for longer than a year in the last 10 years.
