Part-Time Youth Pastor

Carlisle Part-Time 15600 - 23400 £ / year (est.) No home office possible

The Youth Pastor will be the program leader for The Meeting House – Carlisle. This will require a firm grasp of the vision and values of TMH. The Youth Pastor will build teams, develop leaders, and work collaboratively with other Meeting House staff. This is a 20-27 hr/week position.

Responsibilities

Campus Areas of Leadership

Identify, schedule, recruit, train, and develop volunteers & leaders
Lead teams to creatively plan activities for TMH Youth at the Carlisle location & in the neighborhood
Develop physical environments for effective ministry
Provide leadership at youth gatherings
Collaborate with other TMH Youth Staff within the Family Life Team to develop ministry structures, utilize shared curriculum resources, and communicate feedback based on implementation
Regular meetings, communication, and feedback with your supervisor and the Family Life Team
The potential for other responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Pastor based on the gifts, capacity, and passions of the TMH Youth Pastor at TMH Carlisle and the needs of The Meeting House

Relational Leadership

Develop and work with a team of volunteer leaders to make the youth ministry fun and engaging for youth from varied backgrounds
Provide environments and opportunities for youth to grow their faith
Provide environments of belonging and encouragement for youth within our diverse cultural, economic, and
political world
Invite students to seek answers to life’s biggest and most challenging questions while providing resources for
them to work through their doubts and questions

Collaboration, Creativity, and Administration

The Youth Pastor at TMH Carlisle will build teams, train leaders, and facilitate connections with families. The Youth Pastor will provide leadership that leads to a deeper understanding of the character, grace, and love of God while discipling students within the vision of The Meeting House.

Requirements

Background

3+ years pastoral experience and/or other vocational church ministry, including preaching/teaching and oversight of volunteers and team development
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
