As a Commercial Cleaner within our Hygiene Team, you will be a key part of a multidisciplinary team of food professionals including chefs, cooks, and butchers. You'll learn and apply the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements of our food preparation facility, working with your team to ensure all production processes are clean, safe, hygienic, and compliant with regulations.
You will need:
- Good communication skills and teamwork.
- Energy, initiative, and willingness to take direction.
- The ability to follow company procedures and regulations, particularly regarding food handling and workplace health and safety.
- Physical fitness and stamina enabling you to operate hoses and pressure washers and perform some manual handling.
- Mon-Fri availability between the hours of 6am - 5pm. Your standard roster will be agreed based on your availability and our operational requirements, with flexibility to suit your needs.
- Your own transport.
This role requires a high level of physical fitness and stamina, enabling you to stand for long periods and perform manual handling, bending, and lifting/moving of items (from 16-55kg, in line with Australian Work Safe standards). You must be prepared to work with meat (and other raw food products) in a cool manufacturing/production environment. Previous experience in a food production facility is beneficial, but not essential.

Pay rates for this position are categorised under the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Manufacturing Award. The level classification and pay rate of the successful candidate will be based on candidate age (as it relates to the Award pay table), the role, and/or qualification. For a guide, the adult, permanent base hourly rate is: Level 3: $24.98. Additional casual loading, penalty rates, etc. apply and some overtime and early morning shifts.
