School Transport Team Leader

The School Transport team is seeking a dedicated individual to support our busy team in ensuring the Council’s transport service provides travel assistance to approximately 1,600 students across the borough.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading the internal drivers and passenger assistants, coordinating workloads to ensure safe transportation of young people and fulfilling statutory duties.
2. Arranging travel logistics, handling new transport requests, and implementing council policies related to school transport.
3. Organizing transport with internal fleet and external providers through effective liaison.

Ideal candidates will be well-organized, possess strong administrative and customer service skills, and have excellent communication abilities to liaise effectively with parents, schools, and professionals. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to handle arising scenarios and ensure reliable transport arrangements.
