We are looking for someone with the right skills, energy, enthusiasm, and interest to join our busy team in Ambleside! This is a great opportunity for a rewarding role as part of a small, friendly team, playing a key role in taking forward the LANSS service across Cumbria and making a real, positive impact on skills and careers across the land- and nature-based sectors.
Launched last year, LANSS connects people and employers with learning and training opportunities relevant to land- and nature-based work, in and near Cumbria. It promotes career opportunities and pathways and seeks to ensure the right training provision is available.
The Role
- Key responsibilities include researching learning and training delivery and skills needs, website and PR support, marketing & communications, capacity building and advice, and supporting further development and sustainability of the service.
Location will be at the University of Cumbria’s Ambleside Campus with serviced office space, offering the opportunity for hybrid working. Some travel throughout Cumbria will be required, and possibly outside on occasion. We are open to part-time or job-sharing arrangements.
The initial contract is until 31st August 2026, with potential for extension depending on funding. We offer a competitive salary, pension, Westfield Health Benefits and Rewards, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
