We are looking for a team player and self-driven business development manager, who has a successful career in winning new business. To drive this forward we foster a culture of real personal development and career progression, these are not just words for a job advert, this is a reality.

It’s about finding and meeting prospective clients face to face and via web calls. We understand working from home and an office have different values that help deliver this. We have three new offices in Milton Keynes, Central London, and Basingstoke where internal networking and teamwork is very valuable.

Proactively generating leads through outbound outreach and respond effectively to inbound opportunities:

  • CRM & Sales Forecasting
  • Maintain accurate records of all deals in HubSpot, ensuring visibility of outbound activities (emails, calls, LinkedIn outreach).
  • Accurately forecast upcoming deals and generate reports to track sales performance and trends.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Manage relationships throughout the sales cycle, accountable for all commercial decisions and for overseeing the successful transition to go-live.
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships with teams such as PMO, Strategy, Client Success, Tech, Product, and Legal.
  • Collaborate on deal execution, ensuring alignment across departments, leading discussions to align sales strategies with business priorities.

Develop and deliver compelling presentations and product demos, both remotely and in-person:

  • Customise pitch materials to resonate with client needs and business objectives.
  • Contribute to brand positioning by sharing thought leadership content and engaging with industry conversations on social media.

Networking & Event Participation:

  • Responsible for research and attend relevant industry events, conferences, and Matrix events to expand external networks.

Market & Competitor Analysis:

  • Responsible for tracking industry trends and conduct competitor analysis to provide strategic insights.
  • Reporting findings to inform business development strategies.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify, pursue, and convert opportunities:

  • Required to travel for client meetings, ensuring strong relationship-building and deal progression.
  • Competent in CRM platforms (HubSpot) and other sales engagement tools.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrating resilience in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, presentations, and communication.
  • Able to utilise professional social media platforms for engagement, networking, and thought leadership.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to build and nurture external relationships.
  • Active participation in industry events and conferences to represent the brand and identify opportunities.
