Overview: The Assistant Food and Beverage (F&B) Training Manager assists in the management of the department's training programs and certifications. Ensures compliance with all resort, departmental, and regulatory rules, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeps all Food and Beverage team members Certifications current. Certifications include but are not limited to: Food Handler's, Responsible Beverage Service, Harassment Prevention, Title-31, Cybersecurity, and all other applicable certifications.
  • Supervises weekly and monthly ongoing training by outlet. This includes, but is not limited to Safety, Drink, Steps of Service, and Alcohol.
  • Manages onboarding of new team members. Handles new hire packets, F&B policies, Certifications, Onboarding Checklist, and Probationary period check-ins.
  • Coordinates certifications, ongoing training, and new hire training with outlet leaders and certified trainers.
  • Reports certification, ongoing, and new hire training progress to the Food and Beverage Training Manager.
  • Updates and trains on InfoGenesis POS and other F&B technology tools.
  • Attends, leads, and contributes to Pre-Shift meetings throughout the department.
  • Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Two years customer facing or hospitality position previously held is required.
  • Three years of prior experience in the Food and Beverage Industry is preferred.
  • One year of previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age to sell or serve distilled spirits. Team Members under 21 but at least 18 years of age may sell or serve beer and wine in non-gaming areas.
  • Must obtain food handlers card within 30 days of employment.
  • Must register in the RBS Portal, take training from an authorized RBS Training Provider, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days of their confirmed training.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, rules, procedures, and administration relating to food and beverage operations.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and Internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.

Minimum Pay Rate: $55,048 annual
