Home Instead Senior Care is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award-winning training, and an excellent reputation, we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our CareGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enable us to provide personalised support.

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team at the Edgbaston Office as a CAREGiver. As a CAREGiver, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help them maintain independence in their own homes.

The requirements of the role vary from client to client, but you may be required to help with:

  • Aspects of personal care (e.g., toileting, assisting with personal hygiene)
  • Meal preparation and medication prompts
  • Homecare tasks (e.g., washing, laundry, and general cleaning duties)
  • Companionship (e.g., accompanying the client to shops, pharmacies, and attending social groups and activities)

We also specialise in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, but full training is provided. No experience is required as full training is provided.

Our clients usually have breakfast, lunch, tea, bed, and overnight calls depending on the level of care that they require.

You will not need any experience of working in the care setting or interacting with older people, but it would be desirable if you do. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will need to have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will need to be reliable, trustworthy, and respectful. You should enjoy building professional friendships and be comfortable spending time in the company of others.

As a CAREGiver, you will receive industry-leading training, great rates of pay, excellent support, holiday pay, mileage compensation, a refer-a-friend bonus, opportunities for progression, and extra qualifications as we offer NVQ Level 1, 2, and 3 in Health & Social Care.
