Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Derby City Council, Adults Mental Health Team – Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team.

The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.

The responsibilities will include:

1. Demonstrate strong skills in working with customers/service users in secondary mental health services
2. Undertaking Caseload management
3. Care Act assessments
4. Reviews
5. Safeguarding
6. Duty work
7. Ward link work
8. Hospital discharges
9. Tribunal reports
10. Presenting cases to Panel
11. Collaborative working experience and interface with health colleagues will be an asset
12. Needs to have knowledge of ICT recording systems – ideally liquid Logic
13. 36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
14. 3 Month Temporary Contract
15. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
