The HGV Technician will be working with the Workshop manager as part of a small team who are responsible for the mechanical and electrical repair alongside the preventative maintenance of the Company fleet, comprising of a variety of commercial HGV vehicles at a busy workshop based in Hickstead, West Sussex.
Work safely, following all relevant risk assessments and method statement instructions. Able to work independently on a variety of maintenance and repairs both planned and unplanned. Prepare vehicles for MOT.
Essential skills- Experience as a mechanic in a commercial vehicle environment.
- MOT preparation.
- Vehicle computer diagnostics.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and procedures.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- It would be advantageous to be familiar with commercial HGV vehicles.
- A valid HGV class 2 licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
