Main Responsibilities
- Establish relationships and onboard new suppliers building successful partnerships. Strong supplier relationship management required.
- From Design receiving details of product requirements and working with the production team to allocate to the relevant factory based on manufacturing capability, price negotiations and working to price targets.
- Maintain the critical path, ensuring we are working to and hitting set deadlines from 1st sample, fabric and fit approvals to delivery.
- Manage your factory base to make sure production schedules are being followed.
- Ensure all stock received in the warehouse is coordinated with QC checks and communicate any issues with suppliers.
- Liaise with the relevant departments, to enable goods to arrive and be processed on time, and advise departments of key delivery dates.
- Raising Purchase Orders as required.
- Work closely with the wider Product and Design Team, including Quality, Garment Tech, and Merch.
- Send monthly reviews of all off-Shore Suppliers, analysing strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Develop and nurture strong working relationships with our off-Shore supply base to ensure they all meet and maintain delivery schedule, quality and margin expectations.
- Ensure on-time range launches, monitoring the CP dates for both Brand and Clients.
- Proactively monitor sales and stock in order to take action to optimize sales, margin, and using optimal freight route/cost for Brand.
- Day to day management of intake and liaise with supply chain of that method goods are to be shipped.
- Help to identify new product opportunities to support the growth and expansion of the business.
Experience
- 4+ years' experience at Merchandiser level ideally within a fashion, or eCommerce industry.
- Experience of a Wholesale Operation would be an advantage.
- Experience with liaising with factories in Asia (such as China and India).
- Experience with Stakeholders Management at all levels.
Skills
- Naturally confident with strong communication skills - both written and verbally.
- An excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and e-mail applications is required.
- Be an organized individual who is eager to learn and progress within the industry.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Confident, assertive, and proactive, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with people at all levels.
- Strong decision making, time management skills and able to prioritise workload, with a target driven mindset.
- Independent but enjoy working in a team and have a flexible approach to working.
- You will be determined to go the extra mile to achieve results.
