Responsibilities
- Building and leading a new Resources and Performance service overseeing financial insight, management, pensions, treasury, assessment, billing, collection, and business planning.
- Providing expert advice and ensuring a clear overview of resource inflows into the authority.
- Reporting to the COO and acting as Deputy s151, responsible for financial administration, developing MTFS, and related financial strategies.
- Applying a commercial approach to traded services and related companies.
- Bringing system-level strategic thinking to align priorities and outcomes across the council.
- Contributing to corporate workstreams and objectives as part of the wider leadership team.
- Providing assurance and building credibility with colleagues, elected members, and residents.
