Location: Barrow (Cumbria). We offer relocation support packages for this role, subject to meeting eligibility criteria. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements; however, for this role, you will be expected to attend your site up to 5 days per week.
Salary: £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll work together with submariners, operators, and engineers to understand the challenges they face when designing and building submarines.
- Assessing workload and situation awareness to optimise operator performance.
- Planning and conducting user trials to assess developing design and optimise user interaction.
- Developing and understanding Human Computer Interaction.
- Assessing Human Machine Interfaces.
- Using measurements of the human body when assessing spatial layout design, including working with 3D CAD tools, immersive VR, and constructing full scale mock-ups.
- Providing human reliability analysis and human factors support to site safety cases.
