Days Coventry (1/2 days per week in office) Sales Engineer – Surface Finishing (Midlands-based) Are you an experienced Sales Engineer with a strong background in surface finishing technologies like blasting or ultrasonic cleaning? We are currently looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual to join a market-leading company as a Sales Engineer. Based in the Midlands, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with a leading provider of surface finishing solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Sales Targets & Strategy: Achieve business objectives by establishing and meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of sales strategies to drive growth. • Business Development: Prospect for new opportunities by reaching out to both existing and potential clients. You’ll be the driving force in building and maintaining new business relationships. • Market Awareness: Keep a close eye on competitor activities, providing valuable insights into market trends and ensuring you stay ahead of the curve. • Sales Operations: Work closely with the Sales Manager to coordinate sales operations, collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth and effective execution of sales initiatives. • Product Expertise: Maintain a high level of technical product knowledge, ensuring you can confidently discuss and demonstrate the value of the company’s surface finishing technologies. You will be expected to keep your skills and knowledge sharp to provide the best possible solutions for clients. • Forecasting & Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate sales forecasts. Produce detailed weekly and monthly performance reports to track progress against objectives. • Team Collaboration: Attend weekly Skype meetings with the sales team to discuss performance, strategize on opportunities and stay aligned on company goals. Ideal Candidate: • Industry Experience: You’ll ideally have experience in surface finishing technologies such as blasting or ultrasonic cleaning. Candidates with strong proficiency as a sales engineer in sheet metal/precision engineering industries will also be considered. • Sales Expertise: A proven track record in sales, with the ability to develop new business and maintain long-term relationships with clients. • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of the products you’re selling, with the ability to explain complex systems to clients clearly and effectively. • Location: The role is based in the Midlands, in Coventry, but we are open to candidates from surrounding regions, as long as you are willing to travel within the UK as required. • Self-Motivated: You are a driven, independent worker who takes initiative and thrives in a target-driven environment. Package: The salary for this role is negotiable based on experience, but you can expect a competitive package starting around £40,000, with additional benefits and commissions to be discussed upon application.
