An opportunity has arisen to join the IS Infrastructure and Delivery Team as Networks & Unified Communications Manager. In this key role, you will oversee Eurostar’s network and unified communications systems, manage third-party providers, define a service roadmap, and serve as a subject matter expert in networking. You will ensure systems are designed, implemented, and maintained to support business objectives, providing technical oversight, architectural expertise, and solutions for new initiatives.
We’re looking for someone to:
- Own the networking and unified communications services and products used by Eurostar
- Lead management of service providers and solutions vendors
- Provide technical expertise for voice, data, and mobile network infrastructure, including SDWAN, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Voice Systems, Voice Recording, Circuits, 4G/5G, and operational control communications platforms
- Keep the network & communications systems roadmap up to date and communicate it effectively; liaise with project teams for planning and budgeting
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs for implementation
- Review licensing and maintenance agreements to ensure optimal licensing and timely renewals
- Provide technical direction during major outages, incidents, or problems
- Engage with peers and stakeholders to identify opportunities and implement improvements through new technology adoption
- Manage team workloads, motivate staff, and support their development in emerging technologies
You’ll need to:
- Hold a degree or equivalent in IT
- Have certifications such as Cisco Technical accreditation, ITIL v4, TOGAF, and Prince2
- Have substantial experience in a similar role
- Experience in line management, leading and motivating a team
- Experience managing third-party relationships
- Proactive attitude and focus on outcomes
- Commitment to continuous improvement and growth mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and productivity skills
- Fluent in English; French is an advantage
- Dedication to personal development and knowledge of emerging technologies
