About the role: Imperial College London is seeking to recruit to the role of Controls Engineer within its Estates Engineering, Energy and Environment team. What you would be doing: Reporting to the Senior Controls Engineer, this role will oversee designs, installation works, amendments, and improvements to Building Energy Management System (BEMS) across Imperial’s extensive estate and buildings portfolio. The role provides support to the Property Team in the development and management of the BEMS across new and existing buildings and ensures the infrastructure services perform effectively and support Imperial’s Sustainability Strategy. What we are looking for: We are seeking an individual that has gained extensive knowledge/experience on building controls in an environment relating to a BMS (e.g. Trend, Honeywell, Siemens). A technical background including qualifications and training in the field of engineering. The role would suit someone with the ability to operate and manage specialist IT systems related to BMS operation with the ability to analyse complex data and systems to identify issues and opportunities for improvement, with the ability to develop innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, external delivery partners and building users.
