We service a wide variety of industries and clients, but our core business lies within the juvenile/nursery sector. The products we develop tend to reach production and launch into the market, so we see the fruits of our hard work. About the role:

As a product designer, you will be expected to contribute to various phases of the product development process. This is a unique opportunity for a talented, motivated individual to join a company with a strong reputation and an influx of projects to work on. We are seeking someone with proven ability, backed up by a portfolio of work from live projects.

You will work on projects for a broad range of international clients. You will be expected to contribute to various phases of the design process, applying your knowledge to conceptualise and develop innovative product solutions to a high level of design excellence. This is a studio-based role, albeit with some flexibility for WFH. The chosen candidate will be expected to attend the office most days.

Skills and Experience:

  • 1-5 years experience within a studio or in-house, or a graduate with internships/placement experience
  • Proven ability to execute and deliver projects into the market
  • Strong sketch ability with a portfolio displaying your talent
  • Demonstratable skill at creating visually compelling concepts and presentations
  • Understanding of mass-manufacturing processes and their limitations
  • Strong CAD competency (ideally Solidworks)
  • Capable to work around mechanical constraints. Even better if you can come up with new mechanical solutions.
  • An eye for the details, but able to see the big picture too
  • Able to manage multiple projects, timelines and client communication
  • A team player, ready to share in the demands of a small business
  • Willingness to learn and work with others

Other requirements:

  • Must be a UK resident or possess a UK working visa
  • Valid passport and a willingness to travel overseas as and when a project requires
  • Clean driving license and own means of transport is essential due to our rural location.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Industrial / Product Design / Design Engineering
