Position: Consultant in Care of the Elderly

Hours: Rota TBC
Salary: PAYE only, Competitive Rates

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Care of the Elderly to join our team in Scotland for a fixed-term contract from 1st July 2024 to 1st October 2024. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to elderly patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care and management for elderly patients.
• Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Engage in teaching and training of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and standards of care.

Requirements:

• Medical degree and full GMC registration.
• Relevant Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Geriatric Medicine.
• Extensive experience in the care of elderly patients.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
• Competitive PAYE rates.
