Start Date: March 2025

Rate of Pay: £288 per shift / £576 per week worked

About the role: “I’m a bubbly final year university student with an active social and academic life, looking for a carer/personal assistant. A member in my team of personal assistants is leaving due to relocation, which means there is a gap in my rota.”

About you: This job has a lot of down-time and would suit someone able to entertain themselves. Many of my personal assistants complete qualifications, online training courses, or are students themselves while working with me. I am looking for someone easy-going and reliable to help me with daily living tasks. For example, while on shift you might help me cook, do laundry, clean, pop to the shops, or help me put on shoes and a coat. I like to have my hair done, and so if you can use hair straighteners and curlers that is fab! You might also accompany me while I am out and about. My disability is only physical, and I can easily explain what I need help with and when; therefore no previous care experience is needed. Minimal personal care.

The ideal applicant will also need:

  • To be organised and be able to follow instructions.
  • To be respectful towards the client’s privacy.
  • To be calm, patient, and caring with a friendly approach and a good sense of humour.
  • To be motivated and enthusiastic.
  • To have a mature and responsible attitude.
  • To be presentable in both your appearance and ways.
  • To be a good timekeeper.
  • To be reliable and organised and maintain excellent standards.
  • To be a good conversationalist.

More details: Paid hour break per 12 hours of work. Opportunity to pick up more shifts when others in the team are unwell etc.

Application Process: To apply, please submit a cover letter describing your interests and explaining why you would be a suitable candidate for this unique and rewarding position.
