My client is looking for experienced social workers are required for the Children's first contact team (CFCT). The Social workers will form part of the screening Pod for all new referrals coming into the Local Authority and at times will be required to complete visits to families to obtain further information regarding risk before a final decision is made regarding next steps. These are non case holding roles. Two Deputy Team Managers are also part of the Screening pod. CFCT is the first point of contact receiving requests for information, advice and assistance to support children and families and investigate safeguarding concerns. CFCT brings key professionals together to facilitate early information sharing and collating information from different agencies to inform interventions to achieve the best outcomes for children an families. Flintshire children's Services have a robust early help offer to support families and always strive to support children to remain with their families where this is safe to do so. The social workers will need an advanced understanding of threshold and risk and be able to work along side the Assessment team and the Early intervention service ensuring families are receiving the right services and the right time.
