Your New Company A dynamic civil engineering contractor based in Omagh, County Tyrone are now recruiting for an Estimator. A well-established and highly regarded contractor, they are undertaking a number of exciting projects across the UK and Ireland. Delivering high-quality, value-driven solutions across a diverse range of sectors including transport infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy and public realm. Due to continued growth they wish to invest in an ambitious, experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. Your New Role Working closely with Estimating and Commercial Managers, you will be responsible for researching materials, equipment and labour costs and review potential Value Engineering options and also preparing and subcontractor/supplier packages for sending out to the market. You will be expected to manage projects efficiently and report price variations effectively. As well as analysing subcontractor/supplier quotations for the most competitive and compliant and assisting with programme preparation and assess the levels of risk on a project. This is an office based role so you will not be required to travel to the UK. What you need to succeed You will be degree educated in a construction related discipline, and will have at least 5 years of previous experience in an estimating role. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of tendering and winning build projects and a strong understanding of construction processes. You will have proven experience of delivering all aspects of your role efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. A confident and outgoing personality will also be beneficial for dealing directly with clients and their design teams.
