Clive Soanes Broilers Ltd has been producing award-winning poultry for over 70 years in partnership with our sister company, Soanes Poultry. We are seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious Farms Manager - Broilers to join our family-owned business. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of NVQ level 2 qualification. However, we also encourage less experienced candidates, such as stockmen with a focus on bird welfare, to apply as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize animal welfare and maintain high standards in bird production
- Ensure welfare and biosecurity standards are met
- Work independently, demonstrating flexibility and self-motivation
- Maintain high health and safety standards
- Accurately update records to meet Red Tractor and IPPC requirements
- Manage daily poultry needs: feed, water, litter, ventilation, and movement
- Communicate with Technical and Improvement Managers and Poultry & Farms Supervisor regarding bird health and welfare issues
- Conduct evening site checks as required
- Learn and adapt to new technologies
- Perform any other poultry farming tasks as reasonably required
We offer excellent new build accommodation within one mile of the poultry site.
About Us
We are a friendly, supportive family-owned business. Training and support are available for candidates with the right aptitude, even without prior experience in broiler farming. Full references are required.
Compensation
Salary: £30,000.00 - £32,000.00 per year plus accommodation, employer-paid house utility bills, staff poultry product discounts, and a cash health scheme.
