About The Job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London, within the Engineering department, the Duty Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all facilities are safe and operational during their shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks and checks on the physical plant, engineering facilities, fire safety systems, and the building's interior and exterior.
- Motivate and lead other Duty Engineers and Technicians, promoting professionalism and adherence to policies.
- Conduct inspections, repairs, and maintenance on all building components.
- Follow fire and life safety procedures and standards.
- Report any unusual events or issues to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Manager immediately.
- Provide feedback on inspections and work challenges.
- Assist in coordinating workloads for handymen and liaising with contractors for maintenance programs.
