The predicted salary is between 48000 - 84000 Β£ per year.
The post holder will be responsible for working with specific functions within the business to support them in achieving their financial targets and driving improvement. This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant to gain experience as a Finance Business Partner in the Aerospace industry.
Responsibilities
- Play an important role in the Finance teamβs interactions with assigned business functions on key financial performance measures including (but not limited to): Margins, Materials, subcontractor, labour and overhead costs, Inventory and provisions, Contract assets & liabilities.
- Rotate within the Finance Business Partnering team to support different business functions over time, including (but not limited to): Operations, Supply Chain, Programmes, Engineering, Commercial, Aftermarket.
- Preparation of information & analysis for regular reporting packs & presentations.
- Preparation of other ad hoc reports & analysis for business leaders.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles in the business with high-quality financial information.
- Perform internal audits and make recommendations for process improvements and strengthening of internal controls across the organisation.
- Support delivery of month-end reporting timetable contributing to management accounts and supporting reconciliations.
- Support of other finance processes as required.

Requirements
- Essential: Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
- Background in financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong technical accounting ability.
- Ability to work with senior leaders in a confident and constructive manner.
- Excellent communication skills - in person and in writing.
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Desirable: Good understanding of manufacturing environments.
- Experience of use of ERP/MRP systems.
