Each year, millions of journeys are made on our buses, helping customers get to work, school, and the places that matter most.We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift PSV Mechanic to join our professional Engineering team at our Hemel Hempstead depot.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with proven experience working on buses to play a key role in maintaining a modern and diverse fleet. You will be responsible for planned and preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics, and reactive repairs, ensuring vehicles consistently meet Arriva and DVSA standards.**Your Role**As a PSV Mechanic, you will:* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with Arriva and DVSA standards* Support continuous improvement in vehicle reliability and performance* Prepare vehicles for MOTs, complete planned preventative maintenance, and conduct quality checks* Diagnose faults and ensure fleet reliability exceeds DVSA requirements* Attend roadside breakdowns when required**Rota Pattern**You will work a rotating Early / Day shift rota, covering 5 days out of 7 (Sunday to Saturday):* Day shift: 08:30 – 16:30* Late shift: 14:00 – 22:00**What We’re Looking For*** NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in PSV or HGV Maintenance & Repair *(International qualifications considered, subject to validation)** Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)* Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical**What Arriva Can Offer You*** £25 per hour* Overtime paid at time and a half* Permanent, full-time contract* Overtime opportunities available* 20 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays* Excellent career development and progression opportunities* Free bus travel for you and a nominated family member* PCV license training (if not already held)* Arriva Village – retail discounts and savings of up to £1,200 per year* Arriva Wellbeing Service – mental health and wellbeing support* Arriva Workplace PensionApply now and join Arriva in delivering clean, sustainable, and reliable transport for our customers — helping to build a greener future for our communities.[](blob:https://arriva.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/2c540cac-da9b-4dba-8541-2c39ad09a5b5)0:00 / 3:05 #J-18808-Ljbffr
