A tier 1, global investment bank is seeking a Loan Operations Team Lead. This is a critical leadership role managing the operational delivery and oversight of a book of syndicated loans in the capacity of Facility Agent.
You will lead a team responsible for building complex deals in LoanIQ, across various transaction types to include commercial real estate, acquisition finance, export credit agency, project finance and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operations professional to step into a visible, senior position within a globally recognised institution.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop a high-performing team within Loan Operations
- Oversee and execute core processes relating to drawdowns, rollovers, repricing, fee billing and trade settlements
- Manage and resolve operational queries, acting as the escalation point for internal stakeholders
- Coordinate closely with Client Services, Transaction Managers and City-based operational teams
- Oversee leveraged and par trade settlement, claim handling, and static data management
- Deliver on project-based initiatives in collaboration with the UK Head
- Maintain strong operational control, ensuring process accuracy, compliance and client satisfaction
- Proven experience leading, supervising or managing a loan operations or syndicated loans team
- Strong working knowledge of Loan IQ and the syndicated loan lifecycle
- Ability to review and interpret Loan Agreements
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Client-focused approach and strong sense of ownership
- Understanding of operational risk, controls and complex transactional processing
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
