Role Mission
The Regulatory Research Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate, reliable, and up-to-date information related to issuing authorities, laws, and regulations across assigned jurisdictions. The role ensures legal and regulatory data is captured, translated, and structured in a way that enables businesses to meet their compliance obligations effectively. By delivering high-quality research and translation, this position plays a vital role in powering our regulatory intelligence solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Source Identification: Locate and validate official, publicly accessible online sources of laws, regulations, and updates related to regulatory change in the assigned jurisdictions.
- Metadata Capture and Analysis: Extract and record essential metadata, such as legal citations, effective dates, and current status of laws and regulations.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Conduct ongoing surveillance of assigned legal frameworks to identify changes, updates, and amendments to existing regulations.
- Translation and Quality Assurance: Translate legal and regulatory texts into English using machine translation tools, followed by quality assurance checks and manual corrections.
- Research Support Tasks (As Assigned): Match regulations (RegBook) against client-submitted requirements received via RegFlow. Support matching of new and existing client requirements when the Services Research team is unable to do so. Participate in testing updates to the RegBook system. Resolve broken regulatory links and correct translation errors. Respond to internal queries related to regulatory content and issue resolution.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory and legal documents.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (UK).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Word and Excel) and experienced with electronic research tools.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Effective team player with proven collaboration skills.
- Fluency in Hebrew as a second language.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of legal citation standards, legal terminology, and the legislative process.
- A formal legal qualification or background in legal research.
- Experience in the financial services sector, particularly with regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in additional languages beyond Hebrew and English.
