The Compliance and Reporting Lead plays a critical role in supporting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance and reporting across the organisation. This position manages global compliance activities and adherence to ESG policies. The role involves developing a compliance management system, and supporting internal data teams with specialist sustainability insights, alongside overseeing mandatory reporting and verifying local compliance with global ESG standards and policies.
What will you be doing?
- Mandatory Reporting: Oversee global ESG reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to meet increasing regulatory demands.
- Policy Management: Manage and drive adherence to the organisation’s suite of ESG policies, including water usage, anti-slavery, and related areas.
- Local Compliance Verification: Engage with local teams to ensure compliance with global ESG policies and verify adherence through regular reviews.
- Audit Readiness: Oversee the maintenance of audit-ready documentation and processes for mandatory reporting and compliance activities.
- Queries Management: Manage and respond to queries raised in the ESG team group mailbox and support internal ESG engagement and communications.
- Team Collaboration: Serve as a key point of contact with the Cost Control and ESG Flo teams, supporting smooth communication and data integration.
- Governance Process Support: Assist in preparing and conducting quarterly governance processes to review ESG data and compliance progress.
- Research & Analysis: Support the ESG team in developing internal and external engagement materials through research, data analysis, and incorporating best practices to create impactful content.
