Hensall Co-operative is a diversified agricultural co-operative serving over 6,000 member-owners at 28 locations in Ontario and Manitoba. The company was founded in 1937 and has grown to export edible dry beans and food grade soybeans to more than 40 countries. We also focus on grain and ingredient marketing, energy products, animal nutrition and global freight forwarding and logistics. We are currently seeking a dedicated, self-driven individual to join our Human Resources team to assist in servicing approximately 600 talented employees. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and will work out of the Hensall location.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the talent acquisition process including development of job descriptions, job advertisements, selection of candidates, facilitating interviews, background checks, employment offers, onboarding, etc.
- Serve as ambassador of the division by welcoming candidates upon arrival, and ensuring needs are met while on site
- Assist with various HR programs including social events, employment equity, etc.
- Administration of benefit and pension program
- Establish and track key human resources performance indicators
- Responds to HR related inquiries within approved areas of expertise from managers and employees, and/or redirects to other team members as required
- Develop and distribute HR/company policies, procedures and memorandums to appropriate individuals, division, and departments throughout HCC
- Coordinates and undertakes special HR projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, including a strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver presentations
- Highly developed teamwork and organizational skills
- Well organized with professional conduct and ability to maintain confidential information
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a Human Resources related program or currently working towards
- Minimum of 2+ years in a similar position
- CHRP designation considered an asset
