Head of Claims Strategic Operations

This role is part of the MRS-GM Claims Leadership Team and is crucial for leading the Claims Department through its transformation to accommodate rapid business growth across Europe and APAC, evolving system environments, and integration initiatives. Key objectives include driving Claims Integration, establishing streamlined infrastructure, and building in-house Claims Operations with both interim and long-term solutions. The leader will also standardize systems, data, and processes to enhance Claims management, reduce redundancies, and improve service.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading the Claims Department through reorganization and integration, developing strategies, priorities, KPIs, and metrics.
2. Collaborating with the Syndicate Claims Operations team to optimize core functionalities and expedite changes.
3. Implementing system and process improvements to support growth and operational efficiency.
4. Building system functionalities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
5. Working with stakeholders across Finance, Data & Process Improvement, Analytics, IT, and others to meet operational objectives.
6. Overseeing reporting requirements and staying informed on regulations and market trends.
7. Evaluating legacy and current systems for optimal functionality.
8. Communicating initiatives and project statuses to senior management.
9. Promoting good conduct and compliance with risk management responsibilities.

Knowledge and skills required include:

• BA or higher degree; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above preferred.
• 10-12 years of operations experience, with at least 5 years in P&C claims.
• Proven success in strategic initiatives and process optimization.
• Experience managing change and leading in a team environment.
• Knowledge of enterprise systems, automation, and best practices in claims operations.
• Deep understanding of P&C/ Specialty claims.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and analytical skills.
